The civil service examination and employment system is the institutional basis for the government to select and employ talents,and provides human resources for promoting the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.Due to the late start and rapid development of the civil service examination and employment system in China,and the increasing popularity of civil service enrollment in recent years,how to scientifically and effectively select a high-quality,high-level,efficient and high-quality talent team that serves the people wholeheartedly is one of the problems that the Chinese government needs to solve at present.Therefore,it is necessary for us to study the employment system of the civil service examination in China,analyze the current situation of the civil service examination,find out the problems in the system,and put forward suggestions to optimize the employment system of the civil service examination.This paper consists of three parts.The first part is an overview of China’s civil service examination and employment system,mainly explaining the concepts of civil servants,civil service examination and employment system;Take Marx’s talent theory,CPC’s talent strategy theory,ability post matching and classification and grading theory as the theoretical guidance of the paper;It combs the historical process of China’s civil service examination and employment system;Sorted out the current process of the recruitment of Chinese civil servants.The second part is the analysis of the current situation of China’s civil service examination and employment system,summarizing the achievements of China’s civil service examination and employment system construction.This paper analyzes and summarizes the problems and causes of China’s civil service examination and employment system,including the relatively small number of job categories,the general setting of written examination subjects and the inadequate supervision during the examination and employment process.The main reasons for the above problems are the insufficient analysis of civil service positions,the imperfect classification and grading in the civil service employment examination and the imperfect supervision and accountability mechanism for the civil service examination and employment.The third part is the countermeasures to improve China’s civil service examination and employment system,including strengthening the job analysis of civil servants,improving the classification and grading of civil service examination and employment,and building a scientific and effective civil service examination and employment supervision and accountability mechanism.
