Research On The Governance Of Local Government Network Public Opinion In The Era Of "We Media"

In the era of We Media,relying on the rapid development of the Internet and the convenient and powerful communication power of the 5G network,people have become publishers of information and expressers of opinions through their mobile phones and with the help of self-media platforms such as Weibo,We Chat and Jitterbug.The open channels have made the public’s awareness of doing politics and asking questions about politics continuously strengthened.Any event on the Internet may break through the limits of time and space in a short period of time and spread rapidly in the network,becoming a network hotspot to ignite online public opinion.Local governments are in a dominant position to deal with online public opinion,but due to the lack of awareness,attention and response ability of online public opinion,local governments are often in a passive position,and there are even cases of escalation due to improper handling.Taking the online public opinion of the Zhengzhou Municipal Government in response to the "7-20" disaster as an example,this paper analyzes,on the basis of research results at home and abroad,four problems of the Zhengzhou Municipal Government in managing online public opinion,including information asymmetry between the government and the public,incomplete governmental power to manage the network,lack of effective coordination and cooperation among departments,and single and outdated means of governance.It also provides an in-depth analysis of the causes from the government’s perspective and proposes countermeasures and suggestions on how local governments can better carry out online public opinion management,such as improving the information disclosure mechanism for online public opinion response,increasing the investment in network management forces,optimizing the coordination mechanism for online public opinion response,and establishing a sound mechanism for local governments’ external discourse,with the aim of providing useful references for the exploration and research of local governments’ online public opinion management.
