Contemporary prose is an indispensable and important part of the unified middle school language textbook.How to guide students into the text and actively explore it,so that they can acquire language knowledge,be enlightened,be emotionally enlightened,and be aesthetically delighted through active thinking,thus better implementing the cultivation of students’ core language literacy,is an issue that cannot be ignored and deserves our attention and discussion.The question design of classroom teaching is the introduction and presentation of teaching contents,and its merits are directly related to students’ learning effects.This paper firstly elaborates the basis for the implementation of question design in present-day contemporary prose,and then addresses the current situation of question design in teaching present-day contemporary prose in junior high school,taking the unified textbook of present-day contemporary teaching-reading prose as the research object,and makes a comprehensive arrangement and analysis of the textbook in terms of its classification,distribution and the presentation and characteristics of question design in teaching-reading prose.On the basis of this,the specific optimization strategies of problem design for teaching reading prose in junior high school are discussed in depth,in order to provide reference and reference for front-line language teachers.The body of this paper is divided into four parts:Part Ⅰ: The basis for the implementation of contemporary prose question design is clarified from four aspects: the requirements of the curriculum,the psychological characteristics of students,the reading aid system reflecting the awareness of questions,and the value of contemporary prose question design.Part Ⅱ: A questionnaire survey and interviews were conducted with teachers and students in a school in H city.Based on the analysis of the data,the main problems of contemporary prose problem design in junior high school were analyzed from two levels:teachers’ teaching and students’ learning in classroom teaching,and the causes of the problems were analyzed.Part Ⅲ: the analysis of the arrangement of the unified book of junior high school present contemporary teaching and reading prose.Firstly,it classifies junior high school contemporary prose.Secondly,the distribution of contemporary prose in the textbook is sorted out,and then the presentation and characteristics of the problem design in the textbook reading aid system are analyzed,which mainly include after-class exercises(mainly)and unit introduction pre-reading hints(supplemented).Part Ⅳ: Suggesting the optimization strategies of problem design for teaching contemporary prose in junior high school.In view of the problems of problem design in teaching contemporary prose,it is clarified that problem design should follow four principles: relevance,appropriateness,hierarchy and inspiration.The specific optimization strategies are explained in terms of the entry point and focus of problem design for teaching reading prose.Teachers can carefully design questions from the perspectives of language,title,textuality,and emotion.Different types of prose have different characteristics,so the design of questions also has different focuses.For narrative prose,teachers can design questions around characterization,event development,and travelogue design;for lyrical prose,teachers can arrange questions around scenic features and specific objects.
