Research On Strategies For Social Work To Empower Communities To Participate In Governance

In the new era,the center of gravity and foundation of social governance lies in community governance.Social work,as an important subject of community pluralism and co-governance,plays the role of an effective provider of community well-being and a digger of social capital in the community due to its professional value of "helping others to help themselves" and professional ability.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the research of social work intervention in community governance and explain its action significance in the process of governance,which will enrich the experience summary and academic research of social work in community governance and build a community governance pattern of co-construction,cogovernance,and sharing.Based on social capital theory,fu theory,and governance theory as the foundation,using the method of field investigation,interviews,and participatory observation of G community in Hangzhou city observation and research,the practice of social work assigned to residents participate in community governance process were analyzed,and the results and the insufficiency,in the process of analysis assigned to corresponding improvement countermeasures are put forward.In the process of social work involvement in community governance,social workers empower residents to awaken a sense of community through community party building and thematic activities and promote cooperation and trust among residents.To enhance residents’ sense of belonging and knit a dense network of relationships through the improvement of community backbone ability and incentives and punishments;Through the construction of a consultation mechanism and the improvement of consultation ability,we can empower residents to improve their participation ability and form consultation norms,so as to realize the active participation of community residents in community governance and promote the harmonious development of communities.However,social work intervention in the development of community governance is not overnight,need to constantly solve problems and long-term operation.Based on this,this paper analyzes the effectiveness and shortcomings of social work intervention in community governance on the basis of relevant suggestions.Social workers need to continuously improve their professional ability,broaden their horizons to provide more precise services,improve residents’ life satisfaction,actively create attractive activities,increase interest in activities,encourage more residents to participate in community activities,and constantly accumulate social capital;At the same time,it is necessary to improve the content of consultation in the incentive mechanism to promote the sustainable development of community norms,so that social workers can better participate in community governance and promote the harmonious development of communities.
