Study On The Nearby Employment Problem Of Absorbing Rural Surplus Labor In Qi County Of Henan Province

Employment is the basis of people’s livelihood.At present,there are about 200 million rural surplus labor forces in our country.Promoting their employment is an important measure to improve the livelihood of the farmers.Exploring effective ways to promote the nearby employment of surplus rural labor force can not only solve the current problem of their employment in the nearby,but also improve farmers’ economic income and promote rural revitalization.In this paper,qualitative research method is adopted to discuss the existing problems of absorbing rural surplus labor force in Qi County of Henan Province and the solutions.This paper reviews and summarizes related researches,and defines the concepts of rural surplus labor force and nearby employment.It uses human capital theory,social comparison theory,job search theory,two-factor incentive theory and growth pole theory for reference.Taking Qi County of Henan Province as the research site,this paper adopts the methods of questionnaire,interview and observation to investigate the local surplus rural labor force,the managers of small and medium-sized enterprises and the relevant government departments of Qi County respectively.On this basis,according to the specific research situation,from the rural surplus labor force,employment employers,the government summed up the existing problems.It is found that the rural surplus labor force has no strong demand for nearby employment,the labor market oversupply,slow economic growth and the vicious circle between the labor market.Based on the problems found,the causes of the problems are analyzed systematically from the above three aspects,and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The research results of this paper can provide reference for Qi County to absorb rural surplus labor force for nearby employment,which has theoretical and practical significance for enriching and developing relevant theories of rural surplus labor force and promoting farmers’ nearby employment and income increase.
