Research On The Interest Development Of Children From Low-income Families In Urban Areas Through Group Work Interventio

The development of children’s interests is not only related to the future of the motherland,but also to education,society,family,and the growth of children themselves.With China’s economic development,social transformation,and accelerated urbanization,the growth status and interest cultivation of children from low-income urban families have attracted widespread attention from all walks of life.In the context of the new situation,new normal,and new stage,it is a common goal for education,society,and families to deeply explore the interest cultivation and practical mechanism for children from low-income urban families,analyze their pain points,difficulties,and obstacles,and propose effective paths and scientific methods.In recent years,professional social work targeting children has emerged in an endless stream,but there are few practices focusing on the development of children’s interests.In order to clarify the interest development of children from low-income families in cities and towns,this article conducted a field survey of 58 children from low-income families in T Town,collected first-hand data through a questionnaire survey,sorted out and analyzed the current situation and difficulties of interest development of children from this group of families,and fully evaluated their practical needs.From the perspective of advantages and within the framework of social learning theory,group work is adopted to intervene from the "four levels" of self,family,school,and society,focusing on exploring the deep influencing factors of the "four links",such as weak awareness of self interest development,economic pressure of family rearing children,school interest curriculum arrangement,and social environment.The purpose is to explore the advantages and needs of overcoming inferiority,opportunities and needs for interest development The "three directions" of exploring the ability needs of children from low-income families were analyzed in multiple dimensions,and feasible suggestions were proposed,such as increasing the importance of parents’ attention to the development of children’s interests in low-income families,increasing the attention of schools to the development of children’s interests,increasing government assistance to children from low-income families,and strengthening the involvement of social work professionals.Through research and reflection,it is expected to provide social work practice paths for the interest development of children from urban low-income families,tap the advantages and potential of children from urban low-income families,cultivate and enhance the self-confidence of children from urban low-income families,and further promote the healthy growth and comprehensive development of children from urban low-income families.
