Research On The Impact Of Knowledge Search On The Innovation Performance Of SMEs

Small and medium-sized enterprises are the driving force of social and economic development and the cornerstone of social stability.They have promoted social and economic development,brought a lot of employment opportunities,and played an important supporting role for the national economy and a harmonious society.Facing the ever-changing international economic situation,small and medium-sized enterprises have encountered various difficulties,such as difficulties in market development,financing,recruitment,and insufficient innovation capabilities.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that governments at all levels should strengthen support for the innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises,promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,and actively promote the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises.The path of innovation and development is clear,but SMEs have a weak innovation foundation,lack of innovation resources,and insufficient R&D capabilities.Due to the high investment and high risk of innovation,creating a competitive advantage for small and mediumsized enterprises through innovation is a battle of life and death.Under the constraints of innovation resources,how to enhance the competitive advantage of small and medium-sized enterprises through unique and effective innovation models has become an urgent problem to be solved.Knowledge search is an important means for organizations to obtain innovative knowledge,and provides an effective way to solve the innovation difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises.At present,scholars' research on knowledge search mainly focuses on the knowledge search behavior of large enterprises in developed countries,and studies the analytical dimensions of knowledge search,the antecedents that affect knowledge search,and the impact of knowledge search on innovation performance.Many research results have been obtained,but Existing research has the following problems: First,there is a lack of research on the knowledge search behavior of SMEs;second,there is insufficient research on the mechanism of knowledge search on the innovation performance of SMEs;third,knowledge search behavior is often regarded as The unilateral behavior of the search subject does not consider the response of the searched object,nor does it consider factors such as government supervision.In view of this,the article has done the following research work:(1)According to the characteristics of SMEs,this article analyzes the knowledge search behavior of SMEs from the perspective of formal search and informal search.The institutional environment and entrepreneurial spirit are important factors that affect the knowledge search of SMEs.The article collects data through questionnaire surveys,uses Smart PLS software,and uses structural equation models to analyze the impact of institutional environment and entrepreneurship on the formal and informal search of SMEs.(2)Combining the characteristics of SME innovation,use structural equation model to analyze the impact of knowledge search on SME innovation performance,and deepen the theoretical research on the impact of knowledge search on SME innovation performance.Based on the questionnaire survey data,this paper uses Smart PLS software to construct a structural equation model,and analyzes the impact of formal search,informal search and their interaction on the innovation performance of SMEs,and uses R&D innovation and non-R&D innovation as intermediary variables to analyze the impact of knowledge search on SMEs Mechanism of innovation performance.(3)Because the empirical analysis found that formal search has a greater impact on the innovation performance of SMEs than informal search,so formal search is more important to SMEs.Therefore,this paper uses the evolutionary game model based on system dynamics to analyze the decision-making mechanism of the participants in the formal search system,and enriches the theories and methods of knowledge search research.Knowledge search behavior is not a unilateral behavior of small and medium-sized enterprises,and needs to consider factors such as the searched object and the institutional environment.In order to analyze the decisionmaking mechanism of small and medium-sized enterprises and related parties in the formal search process,the article analyzes the mechanism of tripartite decision-making by constructing a tripartite evolutionary game model of formal search based on system dynamics.Through the above analysis,the article obtains the following research conclusions:(1)The institutional environment has a significant positive impact on both formal and informal searches of SMEs;entrepreneurship has a significant impact on the informal search of SMEs,and the magnitude of the impact is positively regulated by the institutional environment.(2)Both formal search and informal search have a significant positive impact on the innovation performance of SMEs,and there is no excessive search,and formal search has a greater impact on the innovation performance of SMEs;formal search and informal search are complementary in the process of affecting the innovation performance of SMEs;R&D innovation and non-R&D innovation are two important forms of innovation,which play an intermediary role in the process of formal and informal search affecting the innovation performance of SMEs.(3)The formal search strategy of SMEs is the result of mutual games between SMEs,the government and the searched.The formal search strategy of small and medium-sized enterprises,the government supervision strategy,and the strategy of the searched object sharing knowledge affect each other,and the system parameters affect the tripartite equilibrium strategy.This shows that the construction of a good innovation environment requires collaboration among all parties.(4)On the basis of the previous research,the article puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the knowledge search and innovation behavior of small and medium-sized enterprises.From the perspective of the three subjects of government,small and medium-sized enterprises and the searched objects,the article proposes to build a shared and win-win solution.Suggestions on the innovation environment,with a view to building a good innovation environment,improving the efficiency of knowledge search for SMEs,and enhancing the innovation performance of SMEs.
