Betula alnoides Buch-Ham is a species with fast growth broad-leaf and high-quality timber, which distributed in tropical, warm sub-tropical and some middle sub-tropical zones .In order to change the structure of species of plantation in Fujian province, enlarge the proportion on fast growth broad-leaf planted forest, and discuss the region of cultivate Betula alnoides Buch-Ham. In 2002, Scientific and technological drawing room of Fujian Province established the key approach element "The quick propagation technology and application to fast growth species —Betula alnoides Buch-Ham and Betula luminifera Winkl ".later developed the trial of introduction in hua an county, there is a plot in a replication .which includes 25 provenances .. 279 families .Owing to lacking the seeds of Betula alnoides Buch-Ham, for supply quickly a batch nursery to use in further trial and some fine sapling in the southern of Fujian provinces, the trial developed early phase selection, the purpose is select tree which is grow fast in early stage, juvenility is to apt to tissue culture and rooting, which can carry on rapid propagation trial .This paper is periodic trial results in this project.1, There were abundant genetic variation and significant or very significant differences among families of Betula alnoides Buch-Ham in height, conserve rate, and variation of provenance > variation of families. These differences were mainly controlled by genetic factors. The height heritability was 0.95 for provenance, 0.79 for family, and 0.92 for individual. These results were playing important roles on utilization of genetic variation and planning of selection strategy for Betula alnoides Buch-Ham.2, For get tree which fast growth in early stage, juvenility to be apt to tissue culture and rooting , which can carry on rapid propagation trial, this research this launched in early day choosing. By synthesizing clustering analysis, 8 fine provenances were selected from 25 Betula alnoides Buch-Ham provenances, the actual gains of height were 10.4%. Then, 13 fast growth families were selected from these 69 families of 8 provenances, the actual gains of height were 29.4%. Using K fast synthesizing clustering analysis select 95 trunk, among these, there were 10 trunk belong fast families, which general combining ability and specific combing ability were both high and the actual gains were 118.41%; other were belonged to not-fast- growth families , which actual gains were 78.41% because of their high specific combining ability.3, In seed'sterile culture, use the cotton with water as substrate, put the seeds of thesubstrate, , first cultured darkly two weeks ,then cultured exposing to light two weeks ,these seeds sprouted and grew to 1.5cm. Then put these seeds on the medium : l/2MS+IBA1.0mg-L''+NAA0.2mg-L"', the rooting rate was 90.8%, and the Situation of rooting was better.4 s Cut the branch that is the fine one which was selected in three level as explants. The branch explants of Betula alnoides Buch-Ham was dipped in 70% alcohol about 30s and was dealt with 0.1% Hgcl2 (the first bud about 5 min , the second s third bud about 5.5min, the forth s fifth bud about 6 min ), the sprout rating was up to 20%, and the first bud had the highest sprout rate which was 30.9%. The research developed the disinfect trial in every month and found the most optimal mouth was October.5 s B5 medium with the NAA 0.05mg-L"' was the best induction medium to the branch explants. In sprouting of different position, the best position was the second s third bud , the sprouting sequence from high to low in seven Betula alnoides Buch-Ham clone sprouts : M,6-*P|6~>'X2|~*Gi2~*Qo4~*"Ao4~>Lo9.6 s In multiplication culture, the best medium was I/2MSNH4NO3+IMSKH2PO4+ 5/4MSKNO3+3/4MSCaCl2+3/4MSMgSO4+ZT2.0mg-L'1+NAA0.2mg-L"1, the sprouting sequence in seven Betula alnoides Buch-Ham clone were: Mi6-*Pi6~>"X2i-"Gi2-*Qo4~*Ao4 -"L09.7 s Using l/2MS+NAA0.1mg-L'', strong nurslings could be got.8s Rooting culture : l/3MS+IBA1.0mg-L"'+ABT'"0.2mg-L"'+NAA0.2mg-L"1 is the best medium.9> In callus culture the best method is the induction of bud, the best medium is 3/4MS+6-BA0.2mg-L"1+NAA0.1mg-L"1. After 3 periods, green tumorous callus grew, then put these callus on the cotton with same medium, little bud grew after 15d.10 s ABTI# root-inducing powder with 600mg-kg''+IBA600mg-kg'1 is optimal for summerwood cuttings, the average rooting rate is 97.56%; ABT1* root-inducing powder with 800mg-kg"'+IBA800mg-kg~1 is optimal for half-lignified cuttings, the average rooting rate is 96.39%; ABT1* root-inducing powder with lOOOmg-kg-'+IBAlOOOmg-kg"1 is optimal for lignified cuttings, the average rooting rate is 93.04%.11s Through using simplex core experimental design, by fitting regression model the medium can calculate with 54.09% red soils, chaff 0.2%, grit 0.35%, pearlier 40.41%, theoretically, the spout rating was up to 98.63%. This result is Similar to seventh group in practical trial.12s In seven clone contrast trial, there is significant different in rooting rate, the rooting length, the rooting quantity among these different clone. Mi6 is best clone in rooting, L09s Pi6 is second.13 s The research had already accomplished the study in different month. The result show: the best rooting month is spring, average rooting rate is up to 90%.14 The full-time license sprays solve the low rooting rate question because of that high temperate in summer, at the same time, by study of 8 light medium, when the medium is composed of the 50% red soil and 50% saw-dust, the survival rate is highest in these eight medium (the rooting rate of summerwood cuttings is 89. 8%, the rooting rate of half-lignified cuttings is 85. 1%, the rooting rate of lignified cuttings is 80. 1%).
