A Study Of Fuzzy Language In Literary Works And The C/E Translation Of Fuzzy Language In Chinese Classical Poetry

The study of this paper restricts itself to two specific aspects. One is the study of fuzzy features in literary works; the other is the study of the C/E translation of fuzzy language in Chinese classical poetry. Starting with the introduction of the definition of fuzzy language in the perspective of linguistics, the paper studies the general features of fuzzy language in linguistics and literary works and the different functions of fuzzy language are also analyzed respectively. Besides, the paper makes a detailed study on the fuzzy features of Chinese classical poetry form different angles. In order to integrate theory with translation practice, the paper proposes the translation guiding principle of the C/E translation of fuzzy language in Chinese classical poetry. On the basis of that, three specific translation methods in compliance with the guiding principle are also developed.Through the complete and thorough systematic analysis of fuzzy language, we draw such conclusions: first, fuzzy languages have their distinct features and different forms in terms of either linguistics or literary works. Second, through the study of the C/E translation of fuzzy language in Chinese classical poetry, the translatability of Chinese classical poetry is further proved, and it is not only possible in theory but also feasible in practice.
