How To Change A Traditional Transportation Corporation Into An Up-to-date Logistics Corporation

With the persistent rapid increasing of Chinese economy, the amount of Chinese logistics is also increasing in a surprising speed. In the first three quarters of 2003, the amount of Chinese logistics had become to 21.7 thousand billions yuan, increased 26.9% than the same period of last year. However, Chinese logistics estate is still at the beginning. There is great distance in scale or efficiency between our logistics corporations and those of developed countries.This article principally discusses that how to change a traditional transportation corporation into an up-to-date logistics corporation, so as to fulfill the celerity,efficiency and low-cost of up-to-date logistics estate, and to adapt the coming competitions by foreign logistics corporations.This article starts from learning the background,situation and tendency of logistics estate in developed countries, and try to find something to teach us. Also, by analyzing the background and situation of our logistics estate, this article try to find the obstacles of our traditional transportation developing up-to-date logistics estate. Then, this article discusses the chance and challenge which our logistics corporations facing from two sides: One side is that our logistics corporations must fulfill the celerity,efficiency and low-cost which are requested by the rapid developing Chinese logistics market; another side is that Chinese logistics corporations are facing the competitions from mighty foreign logistics corporations after the entry of WTO. At last, this article gives out the suggestions on how to change a traditional transportation corporation into an up-to-date logistics corporation.I think that no matter the rapid development of Chinese logistics market or the competitions from mighty foreign logistics corporations, which must contribute to the change of our traditional transportation corporations. During the change, our government must do something important. To our traditional transportation corporations, which accomplish the change first, which will be the winner in the future.
