A Study On Industry Competitiveness Of Mining City

This paper first introduces the existing studies on competitiveness, then discusses the conception of industry competitiveness and points out that the environment effects should be taken seriously in the study on industry competitiveness of mining cities, and then analyzes the sources, effected factors and determined factors of industry competitiveness of mining cities using Comparative Advantage Theory and Competition Advantage Theory, and then based on the analyses establishes an index system and a model for estimation of industry competitiveness of mining cities, which are scientific and aim at mining cities, at last this paper studies the 24 industries'competitiveness of Fuxin city as a demonstration, using the index system and model and data from Fuxin Statistical Yearbook 2004, and gives countermeasures.
