After the Cold War,the Russia-Japan relations have undergone two major changes:First,The breakup of the Soviet Union means the end of the hostility of two sides,this is a fundamental shift in political position and ideology;Second,Japan gave up its "politic and economic is inalienable" policy,turned to a "multi-level engagement" policy toward Russia,in fact,this is to solve the problem of territorial disputes that hinder the development of Japan-Russia relations,to realize economic cooperation and mutual rely on strategic.Obviously,this change is the result of persuing their national interests and the Russia-Japan national strategic adjustments,this is bound to have significant impact on China.China isa large country in East Asia,and has huge geo-politic, economic and strategic interests,China must carefully analysize the factors of impact on the Russia-Japan relations,develop accurate self-positioning and formulate practical policy in East Asia.currently, China's situation in East Asia is good,But there exists negative factors,such as the territorial disputes,ideological issues etc.With Japan's political and military development and Russia's national strength recovery,Japan will be to highlight more autonomy in national security strategy,China must think highly of this and make a positive adjustment policies from the politic,security,foreign affairs,culture and other aspects,to guarantee our geo-strategic benefits in the East Asian area to a great extent by giving full play to China's geo-advantages.
