The disabled are the typical disadvantaged groups in our society. What accompany the defects of body are the low level of education, lack of manpower capital and social resources, low living standards and the psychological disturbance. Job opportunity and employment is the most effective way to secure the disabled. Employment can not only help them obtain financial support, but also free them from isolation with active social life. Based on the social support for the analysis framework, through the questionnaire, this paper analyzes the employing process of the disabled and their choice in the situation of current social transformation, as well as the circumstances of various ways of social support's mechanism of action and effectiveness.According to the interviews of eighteen different types of disabled persons and the working staffs in the DPF(Disabled Persons' Federation), this thesis studies the mechanism of action and effectiveness of social support in the three channels of institutional arrangement, labor market allocation and social network support. The conclusions are as follows: As the transformation from planned economy to market economy, traditional arrangement mode of the disabled is encountering challenge. The human capital such as education and skill and social network capital plays an important role in the process of application for a job. The higher of the level, the easier for the disabled persons to get the job and the higher quality the job is. The sphere of action of government support mode focuses on the scope of low level mostly. Receivers are the disabled persons of low level of culture and skill, lack of social and economic resources, heavier disability. In addition, it influences the function of social support that various kinds of social exclusion phenomenon are exist.
