Credit system is implemented in more and more colleges in China. Many colleges implemented undergraduate tutorial system in order to perfect the credit system. The idea of the undergraduate tutorial system originated to make the student work in education management more individual and develops the potential ability of learning and creative talents in various colleges. It helps to cope with the universities' expanding enrollment and it may avoid the "mass production" in college education, and prevent students from choosing classes blindly because of credit system, or the emphasizing on quantity not quality; it also can avoid the neglecting of students' work in education management caused by the incomplete play of the teaching function.Meanwhile the problems of the undergraduate tutorial system have been noticed during the process of practicing,including the system itself and not work well with the original system. One of major problems is the lack of undergraduate tutors; the lack of participation of the students into the tutorial system; the tutors have the tasks of teaching and researching, so there's no enough time for guiding the students.Although we have achieved some development in undergraduate tutorial system, but there are still many problems in the undergraduate tutorial system. In order to analyze the real reasons of the problems occurred during the implementation of the undergraduate tutorial system. This essay make a deep research on undergraduate tutorial system of Jiang Xi Normal University and find feasible suggestions and policies in order to cope with facing problem, which also provides an example for other colleges or universities.The thesis includes five parts. The first part is the guiding part, which introduces the intention of the thesis, the relative researching fruits in the domain and the research methods in it and related to the concept of mentoring. In the second part, the writer studies the development history and makes a comparison between foreign tutorial system and tutorial system in China. The third part formulates the concerned theories concerning undergraduate tutorial system. The fourth part makes a detailed investigation of undergraduate tutorial system of Jiang Xi Normal University in order to find existing problems. The fifth part gives some suggestions and opinions to improve undergraduate tutorial system。Although this essay mainly is an institutional research, all other colleges or universities, which is practicing undergraduate tutorial system, can make some modification according to situations themselves.
