The tutorial system is originated from the Oxford University, which is an effective way to enhance the management of students. To carry out undergraduate tutorial system in our country, which is beneficial to deepening the reform of education. At the same time, it will cultivate high quality talents with innovative spirit. In the actual implementation process, the undergraduate tutorial system which is an "import" has been gradually to get everyone’s approval. On the other hand, it also exposes various problems, which affects the development of undergraduate tutorial system. Which caused the problems the undergraduate tutorial system in the implementation? What’s the reason which hinder the healthy development? How to guarantee the benign operation of undergraduate tutorial system? With the inquiry and reflection on the above problems, this research analyzes and discuss.This research contains six parts. The first part illustrates the selected topic reason and research significance, summarized the domestic and foreign about tutorial system related research achievements and shortcomings. The second part is the study of theoretical basis. Firstly, this part defines the "mentor","tutorial system" and "tutorial system". Secondly, this part expounds the "liberal education" and "individualized education" the two theories and then analyzes how it guides this research. In the third part of the article, this part firstly analyzes the tutorial system in the Oxford University. And then this part analyzes the undergraduate tutorial system in the Harvard University and the Massachusetts, as well as, Peking University and Xi’an University of Technology. Find out the difference between our country and abroad through the comparison. And on this basis, summing up the implementation of undergraduate tutorial system which suited to Central China Normal University. The fourth part chooses Central China Normal University undergraduate students as investigation object. Knowing their opinions of the undergraduate tutorial system through the way of questionnaire and case interview.With the review and analysis, knowing the effects of undergraduate tutorial system implementation. From investigation, Central China Normal University has perfect rules and regulations, the guiding ideology, organization establishment. What’s more, the teacher employment and the teacher job evaluation has made good progress. The fifth part analyzes the specific implementation problems in Central China Normal University. At the end of the article, point out the research direction in the future and give suggestions.This research believes that the undergraduate tutorial system of Central China Normal University has made certain achievements, which also has some disadvantages. The main questions include:unclear mentor duties, unreasonable student-faculty ratios, low teacher guide frequency, imperfect mentor evoked mechanism, incomplete teacher incentive mechanism. On this basis, this research thoughts clearing tutor responsibility permissions, optimizing teacher equipped with proportion, specific ting mentor guidance mode, improving teacher guiding frequency, sounding evaluation mechanism and consummating the incentive measures to strengthen the construction of tutorial system.
