This study adopted literature review, investigation, interview method and statistical method to probe for teaching self-evaluation in the field of theory and practiceTeaching self-evaluation is the evaluation that teacher evaluates his own teaching process, teaching effect and the elements of teaching. Improving teaching and the development of teachers is its main purpose. The focus of teaching self-evaluation is the reflection on teaching process. Individuation, continuity, development are the characteristics of teaching self-evaluation. The theory of cognitive psychology, humanism, development assessment of teachers, specialization on teachers and management provide theoretical basis for teaching self-evaluation.Based on the literature review of teaching self-evaluation, considering the conception of new national curricula reform and the features of teaching self-evaluation, we suggested that contents of teaching self-evaluation must be valid, practical, dynamic, and be coherence with the request of new national curricula and the actual development of schools and teachers. In addition, we propose the implementary procedure and strategy on teaching self-evaluation.I participated in the task named "a study on teacher's teaching self-evaluation", and realized that teaching self-evaluation of teachers is effected in updating the conceptions of teaching, optimizing teaching process, improving teaching level, strengthening consciousness of reflection, it is feasible and effective in practice.
