Since entering the 21st century, information technology has become one of the science fields developing most rapidly, affecting the most extensive. As students' exploring learning tool, Information technology provided technical and environmental atmosphere. Take multimedia and network technology as the core, information technology has obvious superiority in providing rich internet resources, wide range of information processing tools, real-time and non-real-time communication tools, information dissemination and other aspects. How to integrate the information-technology-support learnig's powerfor function into the elementary teaching and learning effectively and reasonably is a brand-new and urgent knowledge innovation proposition. Realize Inquiry learning under the information technology's support has the vital practical significance in solving problems that in tradition teaching students' initiative, the enthusiasm displays with difficulty and hard to raise students' ability of screen, distinguish process and handle information. Inquiry learning under the information technology's support proposed based on the height of the time and seriously examined the tendency of social development, in view of the future personnel training's demand and the present secondary and elementary school education's weak point, as well as the current education reform's direction and breakthrough is the inevitable trend of the modern education's reform and development.This article is composed of six parts:The foreword part introduced the development's background ,the correlation concepts and the present research situation of Inquiry learning under the information technology's support, based on these proposed the goal, the significance, the mentality, the technique and the primary coverage of the research.The first chapter analyzed the intention and the characteristic of inquiry learning under the information technology's support.The second chapter discussed the theoretical foundation of inquiry learning under the information technology's support.The third chapter proposed the knowledge view, the study view, the teaching view and the information technology view of inquiry learning under the information technology's support on the base of the first and second chapter.The fourth chapter discussed how to classify and what the fundamental types are of inquiry learning under the information technology's support.The fifth chapter proposed the strategies of inquiry learning under the information technology's support.The article concludes with a summary of the progress and the existence insufficiency this research obtains.
