Attraction is an important factor of productivity of tourism, as well as the source of motivation for tourists. The tourism industry in China has been developed rapidly and made remarkable achievement. As of January 2005, China has around 20,000 scenic spots of a wide variety. Of which, 1401 are A-level scenic spots; 177 are the state's key scenic area; 154 are the state nature reserve; 565 are national forest parks; 105 are national geological parks; 306 are industrial and agricultural tourism models; and 31 are natural heritages in the "World Heritage List". After China joined the WTO, the demand of international tourism market continues to grow. The development of scenic spots has become more rapid while the numbers of various attractions are on the rise. The sustainable and healthy development of attractions lies in high-quality personnel. Therefore the training of employees for tour enterprises is of important significance.Beginning with analysis of training of domestic and foreign tourism enterprises, it is pointed out in this article that the research of employee training in attractions remains unexplored. The article introduces and describes the training system of Guangzhou CL Attraction in details, focusing on analysis of its framework and implementation. Experiences and methodology from CL Attraction could be thereby extracted, summarized and applied to other attractions.The article is outlined as following:Chapter One: Introduction. The topic and its significance, overview of training in tour enterprises and the methodologies applied in this article are described.Chapter Two: Theoretical review. Theories of human resource and human capital, theory of human resource management, training and development of human resource and its studying mechanism are introduced.Chapter Three: The training system of CL attraction. The introduction of CL attraction and Framework of its training system are covered. Chapter Four: The implementation of training system in CL attraction.The specialties of the training system of CL attraction, evaluation of training demand, design of training plan, design of training courses, evaluation of training projects and conversion of training results are introduced and discussed.Chapter Five: The directing effect of the training system of CL attraction to that of other attraction.The set-up of training system in scenic spots, investment of staff training, scientific analysis of training demand, evaluation and summary of training result, set-up of inspiriting mechanism for staff training, training of high-quality personnel, strengthening of staff communication are discussed and studied.Chapter Six: Conclusion. Through discussion and analysis, it is concluded in this article that the emphasis of staff training has a universal significance to attraction and training should be connected to the performance of employees. The training system of CL attraction has a directing effect to other domestic attraction.
