The conflict between conventional agriculture and environment is increasingly becoming a problem, which includes loss of bio-diversity and soil erosion. Healthy consumption is well accepted as living standards improve. Ecological product faces a more and more prosperous market. From the perspective of global market, agricultural product trade is impacted by environmental criteria. All the above factors contribute to the fast development of ecological agricultural industries. What follows is how to appraise the performance of ecological agricultural industries, which is why the author chooses this topic. This thesis researches the methodologies in ecology, environment and sustainable economy, from both domestic and overseas resources, and develops a comprehensive appraising model for ecological agricultural performance according to the principle of a multi-purpose appraising. Forced Defining method and Delphi method are applied in filtering indexes and data composing. This thesis makes a pragmatic analysis of some ecological agricultural industries in Dalian and concludes: conventional agricultural industries well-matches with safe food agriculture in according economic performance, whereas green food agriculture, as it has a higher input, is not as efficient as the previous two. As to comprehensive performance, green food agriculture proves superior to the other two as it enjoys higher social and ecological performance. However, as an externality, ecological and social performance needs incentive mechanism such as ecological performance compensation system. Finally, the thesis gives some suggestions as to from the perspective of industrial policies for ecological agriculture.
