The future competition among the enterprises is the competition about the human resource. As an important content, performance management is the task that any enterprise cannot neglect. This research on performance management will radically drive the comprehensive development of the theory of human resource development and management. Besides, it will dramatically improve the level of operation and management of the enterprises. But due to kinds of reasons, there are still many problems in the performance management of Chinese enterprises.These problems be decomposed into three parts: the incomplete performance management process, lack of corresponding environment and the unhealthiness of the guarantee mechanism. Through analyzing the rootstock we can find that these problems are mainly due to relevantly little practical experience, shortage of overall and deep understanding of performance management system, no much attention to the cultivation of corresponding environment as well as lack of efficient support of the guarantee mechanism.After this, the author proposed the corresponding countermeasures:1. Establish complete performance management process;2. Build proper environment for performance management;3. Construct efficient guarantee mechanism.The purpose of this study is that through the research we can have a clearer understanding about the skeleton of the complicated system of performance management and to provide beneficial reference for leaders and human resource managers when they carry out performance management policies.
