With the advent of visual culture era, the fine arts has presented us with brand new meaning and it is regarded as one of the linguistic forms affecting every aspect of culture never seen before.To the thematic activity of kindergarten which promotes curicular structure integration, fine arts is no longer a simple skill which just needs to imitate and reappear, but one of the most important learning techniques of children which obtains the knowledge, improves the ability and eventually benefits the growth of children through visual perception, visual thinking and visual expression.In this paper, based on children’s psychological development and learning characteristics; combined with the latest requirements of art teaching in the visual culture era, analyze the current status of preschool art teaching in the thematic activity; think about the problems caused by unawareness of the important value of art, either sticking to traditional way of art teaching or losing the noumenon of art discipline. The author validates the effectiveness of the fine arts as an important learning style through the practice of unit researhing fine art teaching in the thematic activity of kindergarten and understands how to blend into the thematic activity of kindergarten, how to impact on young children’s learning, how to improve the quality of thematic activity in kindergarten and to promote children’s all-round development.Supported by the teaching practice of more than two years, two typical example lessons "our city"(high class) and "spring series"(middle class) has been selected to analysis and summary from many lessons. The author describes the complete process of learning by art in thematic activity in kindergarten, the problems encountered in the learning process and the relevant solutions to these problems. Finally, the outcome is fruitful, the children and teacher all have benefited from learning process of fine arts.The results show that the way of learning by art in kindergarten plays a positive role in thematic activity of kindergarten and children’s all-round development...
