Lu Xun was a Chinese great modern writer, thinker and revolutionist. Since1940, in the article "New Democracy" Chairman Mao confirmed Lu Xun’s direction as the direction of the Chinese culture, Lu Xun has been the standard-bearer of modern Chinese culture, his works are also widely spread, become one of the largest textbook writers in Secondary language textbooks after founding. But entering the new century, the classic status of Lu Xun’s works was unprecedented challenged. His works in middle school language textbooks are constantly being cut. Deletion of Lu Xun’s works caused intense and strong controversy in cultural sector even all levels of society. Formed a unique cultural landscape in new century. This paper analyzes the history and current situation of Lu Xun in language teaching in secondary schools, ponder the problems of Lu Xun’s works in teaching, Explored how should teachers teaching of his works in an effectively way so that students can better learn Lu Xun, carry forward the spirit of Lu Xun.This paper first summarized Lu Xun’ literature early development and opt for the status quo of school textbook. A brief introduction on how high school select the textbooks of Lu Xun’s works, the main content, significance and research methods. The main content of the study, significance and research methods,the second chapter has listed the interpretation of topics on middle school language textbook of Lu Xun’s works in different periods. The third chapter has analyses the reason why his works in high school were left out by questionnaires and interviews. The fourth chapter introduces the teaching problems on Lu Xun’s works. For example,teachers put too much emphasis on knowledge explanation and neglects to train students’ reading ability. The way of instill teaching and faire teaching resulted non-compliance teaching purposes. Deviate from the teaching objectives made Lu Xun’s article lose the real charm. Indulgent personalized reading made students could not fully understand the connotation of Lu Xun’s article.The fifth chapter explored the significance of his works for the secondary language education: Secondary language classroom is one of the main ways to Ethnic heritage spiritual heritage of Lu Xun; teaching experience of Lu Xun’s work can promote secondary language reform; Lu Xun’s spiritual revival is also a calling of the new era. Give the aspects of teaching improvement. Teachers should find a good starting point for teaching, For example, start from practical ideas and works of Lu Xun, serious preparer and study the materials.,start from the actual level of students,focuses on major and difficulty problems. When teaching Lu Xun’s works, teachers should find a meeting point between Lu Xun’s life and student life, chinese language teaching and Lu Xun, and the meeting point of the new network technology. By analysis the phenomenon of Lu Xun’s literary works cut in middle school language textbooks and the solution, our students to respect Lu Xun, understanding, learning Lu Xun and promote the spirit of Lu Xun. Let Lu Xun’s mental, spiritual, values return to our society.
