The relation between teachers and students is the most basic and complicated interpersonal relationship in educational field and whether it is good or not has direct effects on teaching effects, learning states and personality developments of students, and even mental conditions and working attitudes of teachers. Zankov, the well-known Russian educator, says, ‘For educational results, one important point is to see how well the relationship between teachers and students is’. As the education reform continues to strengthen and deepen, in educational teaching practice, continuously emerging problems for student-teacher relation usually show up from public view. Thus, this relation is increasingly valued by people and becoming a hot topic. Since it goes through all of the education processes, how to build a harmonious student/teacher relation turns into a consensus for all educators and whole society.Harmony, as a quintessential part of Chinese culture, briefly generalizes, ‘pursuing harmony but keeping diversity and seeking common ground while reserving differences’. It is not a unified, same and equivalent state, instead, it is a state in which each internal element within a thing is in a coordinated development through a well-order mode. To be specific, in the student/teacher relation, a harmonious one is to mutually respect, love and develop together. Meanwhile, the concerning subjects in it also develop concertedly. Based on this, we might conclude that a precondition of constructing a harmonious student/teacher relation is a coordinated development of concerning subjects. in return, this development is a vital link for building a relation. I call this subjects, responsibility subjects and therefore, this essay is from the perspective of responsibility subjects and then discuss the construction of a harmonious student/teacher relation. This essay starts from current problems in this relation, and explores the deep reason is that educators have cognition deviations in this relation and traditional concept cannot adapt the education environment in the new era. Hence, the transformation is extremely urgent. Harmony is the essence of Chinese traditional culture which ‘pursues harmony but keeps diversity and seeks common ground but reserves differences’. Therefore, the relation of student and teacher has cohering interests with the idea of harmony. In other words, harmony is one value pursuit of current student/teacher relation. This essay, differing from other previous points in the area of how to build a harmonious relation for students and teachers, study it from the view of responsibility subjects. Because this relation as a kind of education relations, is a rather complicated relation. Also, the relation between related subjects and subjects impacts the construction of student/teacher relation. Consequently, related subjects are responsibility subjects. According to this, this essay demonstrates respectively what specific strategies each related responsibility subject apply in order to construct a harmonious student/teacher relation.
