| Legal consciousness is the key of legal system. China's present construction of legal system based on market economy calls for the awakening of legal consciousness of the whole society.This paper analysizes the demands of our age to university students and points out that their legal consciousness results from the realization of law, legality and their corresponding outcome,i.e, knowledge, mind, viewpoint and idea. Their legal consciousness involves modern legal mind, modern legal concept, modern legal theory and modern legal belief, and the functions of their legal consciousness includes educational, guiding, assessing and regulating functions.After a careful analysis of the legal consciousness situation of present university students, it is revealed that their legal consciousness is affected by mode of production, moral concept, traditional culture and other factors, so it is a hard work to construct legal consciousness in them.The analysis of the significance, guiding idea and basic principle of their modern legal consciousness shows that they should be equipped with the following six kinds of legal consciousness: constitution consciousness, civil consciousness, lawsuit consciousness, contract consciousness, law-abiding consciousness and right-responsibility consciousness. To ensure that their legal consciousness is constructed as soon as possible, the last part of the essay discusses its realization mechanism. |
