It is the era of information economy nowadays and science and technology has been changing with each day passing, which require that the qualified talents should own not only rich knowledge, but also the abilities of creation and life– long study. In this case, education faces the new challenge. In order to adapt to the era and meet the requirements to the talents from the future society, we must change the educational notion, teaching mode and students'learning method.Then, how can we develop students'creative spirits and consciousness and therefore give priority to students in learning and change students'learning method. Showing in practice, Inquiry Learning is one of the best means of learning.Information Technology Course in Senior Middle School is a subject which is highly practical. At present, the teaching mode used in Information Technology Course is still mostly the traditional means, only paying attention to the skills of operating and using Information Technology tools. Because of lacking of researching, this teaching mode gives priority to imparting knowledge, but it is difficult for students to synthesize, use and create knowledge by making the old knowledge as a carrier and it is difficult to promote students'information attainments. Inquiry Learning, the new teaching method aims at training students to have the comprehensive abilities, such as analyzing problems, dissolving problems, cooperating and so on. Inquiry Learning is consistent with the target of developing students of info– tech curriculum. Therefore, Inquiry Learning has a beneficial effect to developing students'creative spirits and collaborative ability when it is integrated into Information Technology Course.The teaching theory relevant to Inquiry Learning and a series of practical research have been explored in this thesis.From the angle of theory, the thesis has discussed its connotation, enforcing significance and teaching designing theory and so on. From the angle of practice, this thesis has discussed how to integrate Inquiry Learning mode into Information Technology Course in Senior Middle School by taking Unit Information Acquirement and Analysis as an example, guided by the theory of Inquiry Learning.I try to offer the reference and experience for the future Information Technology Course in Senior Middle School in aspects of theory and practice by exploring Inquiry Learning in theory and enforcing Inquiry Learning in Information Technology Course in my daily teaching.
