The recent few years has witnessed the rapid development of economy and society, which, especially, requires more qualified technicians. The most urgent problem is that the pace of training professional teachers ;ays far behind the development of secondary vocational education, which, to some degree, limits the improvement of secondary vocational education.I took the professional teachers in secondary vocational education in Zhangjiagang City as the object of study. The main study ways are consulting books,conducting surveys, comparing results and concluding experience. This dissertation consists of five parts.Part I is the survey of the domestic and foreign present research situation on the specialization of professional teachers, making clear the content and the significance of study.Part II is some concepts, namely, secondary vocational education ,professional teachers and specialization. It also explains the features of secondary vocational education and some requirements for professional teachers. After analyzing the relationship between specialization and profession, double-majored teachers are supposed to be trained.Part III is the introduction to the economic situation and vocation educational situation in Zhangjiagang City, which indicates inharmony and conflicts between them. I carried out a survey among professional teachers to be informed of the present situation of specialization and also made inquiries with a few headmasters and a number of teachers for further details, which help me find some reasons for affecting the development of professional teachers.Part IV is several strategies after comparing professional teachers between foreign countries and our country and learning from foreign advanced experience. Firstly, at governmental administration level, some standards for training double-majored teachers should be set and further education system for professional teachers should be built. At the same time, the social status of professional teachers should be improved. Secondly, at schooling management level, schooling training should be encouraged and inspiring competition system should be strengthened. Meanwhile, the conventional assessment system should be improved. Thirdly, at individual development level, some traditional beliefs in education should be changed. It is necessary and important for every professional teacher to gain further education and to improve himself, surpassing himself eventually.
