Specialized secondary schools for secondary school students language and other cultural basic course is the requirement of" must"," enough", so, the majority of secondary school students do not care about language learning, language outside reading is blind, lack of. The choice of Wuxi higher normal school 500 school students ( the students ) as the object of study, found the students extracurricular reading status quo is not optimistic, the reasons are: School of technical secondary school library resource utilization rate is very low, secondary school students in extracurricular reading understanding is one-sided, extracurricular reading too little time, extra-curricular reading value orientation is not clear, with the professional is closely related to the practical style and lack of attention and the secondary school students language ability development of several key issues. Based on the above conclusion, the author thinks to begin from the following respects: build Shuxiang campus, creating a good reading environment; to guide students to read updated idea; cultivate students' extracurricular reading interest; the cultivation of students' extracurricular reading habits; strengthens the outside reading instruction; begin reading communication, organization extracurricular reading inspection and supervision; broaden students' reading channel, guide professional reading.
