After teaching exploration,this paper finds that if the "whole book" and "single short chapter" are put in the extracurricular reading teaching,it can produce more prominent effect,because the two have their own characteristics,advantages,and disadvantages.There was also a clear difference in the responses of different students,each of whom had their own way of responding to the demands of the times.This paper is to combine the two with Chinese extracurricular reading teaching,and explore what kind of extracurricular reading teaching is better for senior high students,and explores the significance and value of this kind of teaching.Based on the combination of teachers' guidance and students' independent reading,this Chinese extracurricular reading teaching method makes full use of all kinds of materials and extracurricular time to fulfill the reading needs of senior high school students,strengthen their reading ability,and promote the overall development of senior high school students' expressive ability and thinking ability.As an extracurricular reading teaching path,this teaching method can not only grasp the situation of senior high school students,but also promote students to read from multiple angles,so that they can achieve all-round and efficient development.
