| The translation of short stories is an important part of literature translation. Starting with the features of the original work based on the translation of the American short story Agreeable written by Jonathan Franzen, this paper discusses the English-Chinese translation strategies from several aspects including translation of title, proper noun, long sentence, dialogue and reproduction of style, coming to the conclusion that a translator needs to have various literacy and be adept at methods and skills of translation so that the original work could be reproduced in terms of its content and style. |
