Study On Informal Organization In University

Informal organization is a spontaneously formed organization, which satisfiedpeople’s all kinds of needs and connected with emotion. It is very common in all kind ofsociety even in universities that informal and formal organization was born together.With the development of our society and the reform of university, it is very commonthat student’s informal organization existence everywhere. In university, informalorganization plays an important role in enriching students’ extracurricular life andstrengthening the communication between them. With the development of our society,however, the students have been constantly expanding their activities to have aincreasingly rich and colorful life, which creates them a specific need psychologically andphysiologically. If we cannot guide it toward a reasonable mode, the various new informalgroups would lead to an unstable situation to the campus circumstances by affecting themanagement of formal organizations.However, most of universities in domestic have not given sufficient attention forstudent’s informal organization. This article first comb the theory about informalorganization from domestic and abroad, then analysis the informal organizations ofuniversities, we should reveal the problems according to its formation, types and affectswhich contains positive and negative, use literature investigation method, then come outwith the strategies to run these organizations theoretically. Through analysis of theinformal organizations in Yanshan university, this article offered the reference to theuniversities how to choose the governance path by the form of questionnaire method, thusto construct a better environment for our university’s improvement. As the manager ofcolleges and universities, they cannot ignore the existence of informal organization butalso strengthen its management to ensure and consolidate the development of theuniversities, which could be achieved by coordinating the formal and informal groups’development harmoniously.
