The faculties of university are the first human resources. It has a great significance for the university to have stable and highly qualified personnel to improve its training quality. The theories of strategic human resource management believe that, systematic human resource management practices can bring to the organization’s high performance and high employee satisfaction. This article from the perspective of the intermediary role of psychological capital, to explore the relationship of the university strategic human resource management and employee satisfaction, trying to find the relationship between strategic human resource practices, the faculties ’positive psychological and emotional as well as faculties’job satisfaction. Meanwhile, the results maybe provide references and suggestions for our university human resource management practices.This study firstly summaries the theoretical and empirical results of strategic human resource management, psychological capital and job satisfaction in current researching at home as well as abroad through reading the domestic and international research literatures. It proposes the theoretical model of this study on the basis of reviewing and summarizing the university’s strategic human resource management and faculties’job satisfaction. Then the study surveys196samples of university faculties through a questionnaire and inspects the relationship among strategic human resource management, psychological capital and job satisfaction, using statistical analysis software SPSS17.0and Lisrel8.70. Research findings basically support the assumption. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Strategic human resource management has a significantly positive effect on faculties’psychological capital.The factors of selection configuration and strategic HR planning have a significantly positive effect on the hope dimension as well as incentives to the optimistic dimension, while the five dimensions of strategic human resource management have no significant effects on toughness of psychological capital.2. The three dimensions of psychological capital of hope, tenacity, optimistic have a significantly positive effect on job satisfaction.3. The universities’strategic human resource management has a significantly positive effect on satisfaction with the work of faculties. The factors of selection configuration and incentives have a significantly positive effect on job satisfaction. While there is no significant impact on job satisfaction about performance management, employee involvement and strategic HR planning.4. The effect of universities’strategic human resource management on faculties’job satisfaction is partly through the factor of psychological capital, which partly mediates the relationship between strategic human resource management and job satisfaction.
