The Development And Utilization Of School-based Art Curriculum Resources

With the constant updating of new curriculum ideas, researching and exploring the development and utilization of school-based art curriculum resource has become a new field of study on arts curriculum. China’s newly enacted law, High School Art Curriculum Standards (trial version) pointed out:the development and utilization of art resource is an integral part of art class. How to explore and use school-based art resources have become opportunities and challenges to art educators. The new curriculum reform requires the teachers to update their concepts, broaden their horizons, to be hard working and be more creative on art teaching. So that the educators can raise the level of students’art grades, develop students’ aesthetic ability and then cultivate students’ innovative spirit and students’ cultural literacy. The use of school-based art curriculum is good for the communication of art education and the society, is good for the operation of the art teaching and reducing the learning costs. At last it will reduce the economic burden of students, stimulate students learning interest and cultivate students’love of traditional culture.This thesis is writing under the background of "quality education". It is based on the idea of the curriculum reform. Through the exploration of the theoretical study and art teaching practice in high schools, this thesis has done research on how the new curriculum reform is used in art classes and the situation of development and utilization of art resources in12high schools of Ningxiang. This thesis practically focus on developing students’ interest in art class,making the teachers and students be more autonomic, initiative and creative on art class.The thesis also reflects the distinctive characteristics of the times and local characteristics of Ningxiang.
