The combination of science and literature brings about a typical literature genre-Science Fiction, which has not only the characters that all kinds of literature have but also its own individualities. Science fiction is chiefly characterized by literariness, scientificity and fancy. The genre was introduced into China from the western countries through translation. With the development of science fiction, the importance of its translation becomes prominent. Skopos theory, emphasizing the influence of translation skopos on the translation methods, is one of the very important theories in the translation field and plays a guiding role in the translation of science fiction. From the perspective of Skopos theory, this paper intends to analyze, with the E-C translation of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? as a case study, certain purposes of the translation of science fiction and proper methods on the levels of word and sentence to make the readers feel the charm of science fiction. With the analysis of characters of science fiction and its target readers, we can come up with some flexible translation methods in the translation of science fiction to attract more readers. On the word level, we can use conversion of parts of speech, amplification, omission and repetition to achieve the purpose of translation; while on the sentence level, we can use transformation of sentence, regulation of word order, division and combination.
