This paper, based on the research of Chinese textbooks for middle schools, combining the theory of close reading of literary text and classification of literary genres, explores the teaching strategies of various literary genres. It consists of five parts. Part one is about the close reading of ancient Chinese prose and the choice of teaching strategies. By analyzing the characters of ancient Chinese prose and drawing on the experience of traditional comments on ancient Chinese prose in ancient times, this part puts forward the methods of close reading of ancient Chinese prose and the corresponding teaching strategies. Part two is on the close reading of ancient Chinese poetry and the choice of teaching strategies. By analyzing the syntax features of ancient Chinese poetry, with the emphasis of limitation of text of ancient Chinese poetry and methods of close reading, this part puts forward the corresponding teaching methods in class. Part three, the close reading of modern poetry and the choice of its teaching strategy, discussing the textual features of modern poetry and methods of close reading, is to explore the effective teaching methods required in modern Chinese teaching. Part four, the close reading of modern prose and the choice of its teaching strategy, discussing the textual features of modern prose and methods of close reading, is to explore the effective teaching methods required in modern Chinese teaching. Part five, the close reading of novel and the choice of its teaching strategy, discussing the textual features of ancient and modern novel and methods of close reading, is to explore the effective teaching methods required in novel teaching.This paper, with a classification of the works in Chinese textbooks for middle schools, on the basis of analysis of features of different literary forms, finds out the teaching strategies for different literary forms according to the theory of different close reading methods for different literary genres.
