Research On The Demand For Continuing Education Of Preschool Teachers’ In Henan Province

In advocating the concept of lifelong education, teachers’ continuing education has become therequirements of the time. Preschool teachers’ continuing education is the important way to implement theconcept of lifelong education, to effectively improve the quality of early childhood teachers’ quality, topromote professional development and to enhance the quality of kindergarten education teaching. Theeffect of preschool teachers’ continuing education is closely related to the actual demands of preschoolteachers.therefore, under the background of widely carrying out the continuing education of preschoolteachers, it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to strengthen the research of the demandsof preschool teachers’ continuing education.In this study, the author investigated upon the interview and the self made questionnaire named "Questionnaire of preschool teachers’ continuing education in Henan Province".Through the analysis andcomparison of its current situation and demands, I found:(1) For the course of continuing education,although there are a variety of content categories, theyare not purposeful; although the content sources are rich,there are few suitable for preschool teacherslearning; according to the exploratory factor analysis,the course is divided into six factors, and the demandof child care and educate knowledge is the most urgent;after difference analysis,different ages,titles andother various factors embodied differently in these factors.(2) For the teaching work of continuing education,its form pays more emphasis on observecomment teaching activities;teachers tend to the professor specialized in pre-school education, require notonly profound theory, but also practical guidance;The status and demand of types of artistic skills andteaching class are both in primacy;the demand of teaching form bias in the form of comprehensiveutilization of a variety of teachin.(3) For the management of continuing education,preschool teachers indicate a very strongdemand for continuing education institutions;the time arranged is in favor of summer and the place is injunion higher school.The establishment of continuing education system is very necessary,it should givepriority to human management;For the assessment methods,it is of greater value to hand over their own learning experience.The overall satisfaction is good,however,there is still much room forimprovement.Most teachers want to get the update of teaching concepts and enhance of teaching skills;theproblems are that there are few opportunities for continuing education, and the theory is divorcedfrom practice.Therefore,there is a gap between the current situation of continuing education and the actualdemand. Another,through interviews,the author got the motivating factor that could let preschool teachersefficiently participate in learning,and the obstructive factor that affect preschool teachers to effectivelyparticipate in learning,then put forward the corresponding suggestions to meet the demand of preschoolteachers.(1) The level of government:Increase financial input and implement the policy;Improve thequality of teachers’ continuing education;Enhance the status and treatment to stabilize the preschoolteachers;Introduction of the policy to ensure the right of preschool teachers’ participation in continuingeducation;Focus on the effective integration of continuing education resources.(2) The level of continuing education institutions:Improve the system, emphasis on demandresearch;Focus on teachers’ selection and training;Focus on the combining of theory and practice;Explorenew models and focus on late follow-up investigations;To increase building and inputs of rural preschoolteachers’ participation in continuing education;Attention to scientific literacy and the ability to cultivate.(3) The level of nursery:establish a sound system of learning and encourage to participate incontinuing education;focus on internal training practical talent and strengthen the kindergarten curriculumdevelopment;optimize the learning environment,give appropriate funding support;actively explore the mainnursery for continuing education;Strengthen collaboration between kindergarten;the rural kindergartenshould adhere to the combination of continuing education policy of go out and come in.(4) The level of preschool teachers: improve the professional identity and enhance self-efficacy;Correct the understanding of the continuing education and cherish the opportunity tolearn;Establish a correct concept of learning,learn to summarize and reflect on;Upgrade technology literacyand strengthen the convergence of theory and practice.According the above findings and suggestions and the author hope that can provide a usefulreference to the carrying out of preschool teachers’ continuing education, to improvement of the relevance and effectiveness of continuing education,to promotion of the preschool teachers’ professional developmentand the continuing education career’s development.
