The present study is restricted to the empirical analysis, aiming to explore thefactors influencing the satisfaction of undergraduate students toward the teachingactivities. For this objective,3200undergraduate students from the institutions ofGansu province are chosen to support the present research. The study reveals that factors that can exert positive influence on theundergraduate teaching are teaching resources, procedures, administration, objectiveand academics. The results also indicate that the undergraduate teaching is far frommeeting the requirement of undergraduates, one-third of whom showingdissatisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary for universities to perfect the teachingobjectives, optimize the resources, intensify the pedagogical management, etc.teaching procedures and objectives serve as the most important field deserving soundsupervision.A close analysis of the degree of satisfaction suggests that universities shouldalso make effort to provide high-qualified undergraduate teaching. Those who aredissatisfactory with the teaching cover such groups as male students, undergraduatesfrom countryside and poor family, as well as those from private-owned colleges.Senior-title teaching staffs always own high degree of satisfaction. However, studentswith poor achievement, those who play truant from school and have little knowledgeabout the prospect of the major also display low degree of satisfaction. Those groupsof students with explicit academic plan are usually satisfied with the undergraduateteaching activities. The cross-group survey shows that the above-mentioned factors can exert moreinfluence to the female students, rural students, those with good economic conditions, those receiving award from school, and so on. Teaching objectives, resources andteaching management are more influential among those in private-owned universities.Teaching procedures and academics always influence students from state-ownedinstitutions. Objectives, academics and processes can be influential for studentsmajored in liberal arts, whereas resources and management for those devoting toscience and technology. Additionally, teaching process has more influence on thestudents without the intention of shifting majors. And objectives can deeply shape those worrying about work after graduation.
