With the rapid development of computer network technology andinformation technology, as a special form of open education resources, with itsabundant content, flexible learning time and learning places and the idea of openand sharing, network video courses are favored by more and more learners,especially the college students. It has an important role in stimulating their desireto learn, improving the quality of learning, and thus deepening the teachingreform of university education.However, by investigating, we found that although a large number ofexcellent network video courses can be found everywhere on the Internet, reallyapplying it to colleges and universities encountered all sorts of obstacles.Therefore, for colleges and universities, how to use the domestic and foreignnetwork video open classes of high quality in a planned and organized way inorder to integrate it into university teaching activities and thus make it be a part ofthe conventional teaching, has increasingly become a matter of concern. Based onthe literature review and analysis, this study summarized the integration statusbetween the network video open class and university teaching activities,constructof the consolidation pattern and conducted a characteristic analysis. Combinedwith a specific case, the researcher also explored the integration issues and effectof the overlap pattern. Finally, according to various factors such as the learningcharacteristics of learners, the researcher developed the appropriate integrationstrategies to improve the integration effect and the quality of learning, aiming topromote the development of the whole educational process. Specific researchprocesses are as followed:This study firstly introduced the research background, research significance,research status at home and abroad, research purpose, research ideas and research content. It discussed the related concepts and theoretical bases in detail.Secondly, by integrating the sample colleges with a questionnaire, theresearcher learned the integration practice between network video open classesand university teaching activities from a macro perspective. Combined withrelated literatures, existing research results, the overall building thoughts ofconsolidation pattern and the basic principle, this study built three kinds ofintegration patterns—parallel pattern, overlap pattern and intersecting pattern,including their definitions, implementation processes and flow charts and so on.Meanwhile, the researcher summarized their respective characteristics as well. Inorder to further find the problems in the integration, from the micro perspective,this study analyzed the overlap pattern combined with a case analysis. It providedfoundation for proposing measures.Then by data analysis, the researcher summarized the learners’ learningcharacteristics in the process of integration. Moreover in view of the problemsthat obtained from the investigation, the researcher put forward correspondingstrategies and suggestions from school authorities, teachers, learners, learningplatforms and the construction of video courses, which will have a greatsignificance for sample colleges and other colleges to successfully integratenetwork video open classes into their regular teaching activities.In the end of the paper is the summary, including the shortages of the wholestudy and the vision of the future researches.
