Striving For Approaches Of Translating Long English Sentences In Social Science

Abstract:As an international language, English is an increasingly important media for social science in which the works that are written in English cover an overwhelming proportion. Furthermore, long sentences occur frequently in papers in this field, which, in turn, poses a great challenge for translators. This paper is striving for approaches of translating long sentences in social science, operating from the beginning with grammatical analysis of long sentences to which several practical translating skills are concluded by selecting some typical examples. In summary, this paper aims to convey the writer’s intention faithfully.
