With the rapid development of China’s society and economy, the need for high-levelprofessional talents in sports industry continues to grow recently. To meet the urgent needfor such talents in our economic construction and social development, the EducationMinistry decided to increase the enrollment of newly-graduated students into full-timepost-graduates since2009. This is a great breakthrough China made in turning fromcultivating academic-oriented talents to cultivating applied talents. Under this situation, asa new type of degree and training model, the training process and quality control ofChina’s full-time MPE will become the new research topic.At present, the curriculum for full-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University isin the beginning stages, consisting of courses structure, course periods and credits,curriculum content, curriculum assessment methods and teaching internship andcultivation and other components. Because it is not long time that MEP develops and nosuccessful mode to refer to, there exist certain problems about the curriculum. This paperchooses the improvements of curriculum and training quality as its research perspective,taking the curriculum for full-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University as itsresearch object, and2010,2011full-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University as itsinvestigation object. The author conducts an in-depth investigation and analyses of thecurriculum for full-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University through using severalkinds of methods synthetically such as the investigation research, documentary,mathematical statistics, and logical analysis.The investigation results show the following problems about the curriculum forfull-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University: First, the proportion of variouscourses arranged is unreasonable; theoretical courses has divorced from practice and thecourse contents are lagging behind without edging topics; t is difficult to meet therequirements of improving students’ practical ability due to inadequate supervision oneducational practice. Second, the training of MPE in Ningbo University is still trapped inthe impact of academic graduate cultivating model. Third, the existing curriculum is not inaccordance with the current social needs and training objectives, which needs further optimization to meet students’ diverse employment direction.Therefore, the author proposes to optimize curriculum, arrange reasonable curriculumstructure, increase the proportion of practical courses, strengthen exchanges to learn fromthe successful experience of other colleges and universities, to fully implement dualsupervisor system, and to strengthen supervision on the process of educational practice.These recommendations will provide a theoretical and practical reference on improvingthe training quality for full-time sports post-graduates in Ningbo University. Meanwhile, itwill let one unit guide a whole area for the curriculum of full-time sports post-graduates inother similar colleges.
