With the development of the information technology, the computer and network are popular andbecome part of people’s life. Educational game is the production of the computer. The production anddevelopment of the educational game adds new element to the education and deeply affect the children’slife and study. The educational game offers a new way of teaching. Nowadays, there exist some problemsin the kindergarten teaching. Some children cannot concentrate their attention on learning the Chinesecharacter and are not willing to learn it. Besides, the teaching methods lack of diversity and neglect theinitiative of the children. The teachers still adopt the method of the spoon-feeding, thus hindering theenhancement of the teaching. This can stimulate the children’s interest and initiative of learning the Chinesecharacter to a large extent. Therefore, the author did a research of integrating the educational game with theteaching of Chinese character.Firstly, the author analyzes the current background, presents the features, the classification andthe problems of the educational games, and makes a discussion about the necessity of the application of theeducational games into teaching the Chinese character.Secondly, the author puts forward the model and the process of the integration of the educationalgames with teaching the children Chinese character based on the constructivism, the game learning theoryand the characters of teaching the children Chinese character. In addition, the author designs the respondingexamples.Finally, the author illustrates the validity of the integration of the educational games withteaching the children the Chinese character by experiment. The author tests for the experimental class andthe normal class, and analyze the data. The results show that the application of the educational games intoteaching the children the Chinese character can effectively stimulate the children’s initiative and interest,and improve the efficiency of learning the Chinese character. Therefore, the application of the educationalgames into teaching the children the Chinese character has practical significance and value.
