Lu Xun, a master in literature has played an unparalleled role in modern literature. Just as Shakespeare in England, Tolstoy in Russia, Chinese must know Lu Xun. Lu Xun’s works is rich in content and wide in style. What’s more, every work has profound connotation and unlimited artistic charm. Lu Xun’s works play a vital role in Chinese teaching.However, as an important part in Chinese teaching in Middle school, the teaching of Lu Xun’s works throws teachers into a dilemma, which becomes a pain of the whole Chinese teaching. Based on the survey of Chinese teachers and students in Middle school, the author finds that there is a big predicament in the teaching of Lu Xun’s works, which shows in the following five aspects:one is the gap between the lofty position of Lu Xun,literary and cultural values on the one hand and the feeling of teachers and students on the other hand. Two, the gap between the specialty of Lu Xun’s life, the richness of his work and he feeling of teachers and students. Three, Lu Xun and his works are distorted due to dislocation of Lu Xun and his works with political wordings. Four,the recreational environment of entertainment and consumption age could hardly integrate with the loftiness of Lu Xun’s works. Five, the contradiction between high or irrational teaching goal on the one hand and the inefficiency of students’ life experience and knowledge accumulation. Six, it is difficult to reconcile the utilitarianism of teaching goals and multiple beauty of Lu Xun’s works. Therefore,the teaching dilemma of Lu Xun’s works is rather worrying.Based on the observation in teaching during internship and consulting information, the author attempts to find solution to breakthrough in middle school teaching of Lu Xun’s works. First, meet with Lu Xun to inspire students’ interest. Second, specify teaching objectives so as to select teaching content appropriately. Third, Chinese teachers in Middle school should enrich knowledge about Lu Xun and his work. Fourth,increase interaction between Lu Xun research community and Chinese teaching in Middle school.Fifth,teachers should build a brand new teaching concept and change teaching methods. Sixth,combine modern teaching technology with Chinese teaching in Middle school. The author hopes that these teaching strategy could offer some help for breaking dilemma in Middle school teaching in Lu Xun’s works. However, due to the author’s limitation, there is still many problems that need to be solved.She hopes that these problems could be solved in future research.
