The employment problem of college students has become a social sciences focus by scholars’ attention and research in the recent years. With the development of ten years, independent college has grown up a significant part of higher education system in China. However, because of the particularity of school property, the independent college graduates have to face greater challenges on employment. An accurate understanding of the situation of independent college graduates employment, and an objective analysis of the employment-related factors, which is positive to seek the feasible way to solve the problem of independent college graduates, and it also has an important practical significance.Based on the research literature, firstly, the paper defined the concept of positive psychological capital and employability, and proposed the structure of employability and psychological capital. What’s more, the paper according to the independent college graduates characteristics built the analytical framework. Secondly, after sorting and analyzing a large number of literatures, this paper summarized the generality of two scales about psychological capital and employability, and designed the independent college graduates questionnaire that had good reliability and validity of test. Thirdly, using the empirical research method, the paper described the psychological capital of independent college graduates, and analyzed the relationship between the psychological capital and the employability of independent college graduates. At last, the empirical results showed that the psychological capital and the parts of it have a significant influence to the employability of independent college graduates. All of this through the following two ways:(1) The self-efficacy, hope, optimism, pride, consciousness and grateful have a significant influence to the employability of independent college graduates.(2) The psychological capital has a significant influence to the employability of employability. Therefore, the author can improve the psychological capital by four ways in order to improve the employability of independent college graduates.(1) Independent college students should strengthen their self-planning to improve the comprehensive qualities.(2) Independent college should improve the parts of psychological capital to increase the employability.(3) Independent college should improve the psychological capital in order to increase the employability.(4) Strengthen the connection between the schools and companies.
