Informationization is one of the main trends in the global development in the 21st century. According to the requirements of new curriculum reform, information technology integration with the high school geography teaching and further population and application are the inevitable trends in the development of geography teaching. Information technology integration into high school geography teaching can make the geographical knowledge system more comprehensive in the classroom and provide a more advanced teaching aid for high school geography curriculum. It is of vital importance to enhance students'understanding of geographical knowledge and skills and to cultivate students'abstract geographical thought and imagination by promoting high school geography teaching content and teaching mode more innovational. At present, the way to effectively integrate information technology into high school geography teaching, and improve teaching effect is the focus of many education workers.Based on the above background, this paper uses literature research to review the application of information technology in high school geography teaching, and uses empirical analysis to investigate about the present situation of information technology and the geography curriculum integration. As a result, we point out the existing problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasures according to investigation of inductive problem. On the basis of information technology and the geography curriculum integration countermeasures, and in combination of the characteristics of information technology application with high school geography teaching, we put forward situation-explore geography teaching mode based on the GIS technology, team cooperation based on network, and news release geography teaching mode based on multimedia guide - that geography teaching mode. By combining with the high school geography curriculum content, and the actual building of patterns and teaching case example analyses, this paper uses the method of empirical analysis to verify the proposed in this paper the teaching mode of teaching effect.Combined with related theories and research results, this paper puts forward the effective teaching model in information technology in geography teaching, and further enrich the theory of geography teaching results. At the same time, this paper puts forward the teaching methods and teaching mode for reasonable high school geography teaching to improve the ability of geography teachers in the use of effective application of information technology, to improve the classroom teaching and teaching quality, and to earlier realize of the integration of information technology and geography course.
