In the teaching design,it is necessary to have a logical design for the objectives of classroom teaching and the links of classroom teaching.Only by paying attention to these basic nodes of the teaching design,could the teaching be reasonable.The conception of core competencies provides a direction for the classroom teachings.With the core competencies to sort out the teaching objectives,teachers can correct the past "value knowledge,ignore ability and the emotional attitudes and values of education".Therefore,this topic has a more realistic significance.According to the summary of the collected literature,studies about how the core competencies reflects the objective design are inefficient.This thesis aims to study the core competencies objective at junior high school English classroom teaching through text analysis,interviews and classroom observations.It also studies the classroom teaching objective design practice in the implementation of the core competencies.Based on the relevant theory,the author uses some methods to analyze 12 junior high school English classroom teaching objective designs,to have classroom observations and to have interviews with English teachers.The conclusions include teachers' current opinions on the core competencies objectives and the feature of current core competencies objective are:1.In terms of linguistic competencies,the knowledge was split up and there were less emphasizes on the ability practice.2.In terms of culture disposition,it is only a form rather than a practice.3.In terms of thinking quality,it still focus on memorization.4.In terms of learning ability,it emphasizes on the learning of knowledge instead of the ability to learn.The main problems existing in the current junior high school English teaching objective design.are as follows: 1.Teachers emphasize too much on the knowledge objectives.Three dimensional objectives are split up.2.Emotion,attitudes and values objectives are far-fetched and not easy to operate.3.Teachers do not combine core competencies with objective design.The main reasons for the above problems are summarized as follows: 1.Compared with the overall development,teachers pay more attention to the results of the exams.2.Teachers do not attach importance to the objective design's decisive effect.3.Teachers' understanding of core competencies is not deep.They can not combine core competencies with objective deigns.And suggestions in response to the problems and their causes are put forward.
