Teaching as a social practice activity to train and develop person faces all kinds of students with different personalities.It's not only the pursuit of education fairness but also the true meaning of teaching equality to give each student the most suitable teaching and development opportunity.However,due to different teachers' teaching practice and some practical problems,the realization of fairness still has a certain gap between realities and imagine.What is teaching equality?What unfair problems exist in teaching?There still needs more discussion and research on what causes these problems and how to achieve teaching equality better.This thesis tries to discuss the problems above by researching the teaching practice in primary school English classroom.The thesis is composed of five chapters.The first chapter is introduction.It mainly defines the relevant concepts.If we want to define the meaning of teaching fairness,we must first determine the meaning of fairness.The author thinks that fairness is a reasonable value judgment made for the distribution of social interest relations under specific historical period and social system.The fairness of education especially refer to the equal education rights and opportunities for educatee,the satisfaction of individual's different needs and equal distribution of education resources,funds and other interests,etc.Based on the two former meanings,the author thinks that teaching equality means we can teach according to different students' personalities and meet their needs on condition that students can have equal education rights and be treated unprejudiced.Secondly,after reviewing the pertinent literature at home and abroad,the author finds that the current research on teaching equality mainly concentrated in education ideas,teachers' expectations,teachers' quality,the relationship between teachers and students,curriculum contents,teaching organization forms and so on.Finally,the author puts forward literature research method,questionnaire method and interviewing method as research methods for this paper.What is the theoretical principle of teaching equality?The second chapter focuses on this problem.Rawls's justice theory puts forward fairness under the principle of equality and distinction.Social stratification theory points out equal treatment for students from different families and groups as well as calling for equal right to education.Inclusive education thinks that teaching should focus on the participation of all students and respect individual differences.Theory of multiple intelligences puts forward that it is fair to cognize students according to the diversity and universality of cognitive intelligence.What is the current situation of teaching equality in the primary school English classroom?We need to find out if there are problems and what are the problems?The third chapter tries to discuss these problems.The unfair problems that we found through actual investigation of the current primary school English classroom teaching and interviews of English teachers include four.The first one is primary school English teachers' indifference and neglect of teaching equality.The second one is primary school English teachers' distorted implementation of teaching equality.The third one is primary school English teachers' random and indiscreet treatment of teaching equality.The last one is primary school English teachers can't implement teaching equality from beginning to end.How these problems of teaching equality occur in the primary school English classroom teaching?And what causes these problems?This article(the fourth chapter)puts forward reasons as following:some primary school English teachers can't cognize the value of teaching equality;some primary school English teachers can't understand the true meaning of teaching equality;some primary school English teachers' professional development is relatively slow;the impediment of teaching habits and laziness that exist in;the lack of time and energy;the evaluation mechanism isn't mature.How to promote the primary school English classroom teaching equality?Chapter five of this article has discussed this problem.The author believes that the effective implementation of the primary school English classroom teaching equality relays on the use of following strategies:return to the authenticity of teaching equality;strengthen primary school English teachers' teaching professional spirit;improve primary school English teachers' teaching quality;reduce "burden" and increase"pressure" at the same time;"cut peak" and "fill valley" at the same time;use differentiated instruction to meet the needs of teaching equality in English classroom;absorb teaching equality into primary school English classroom teaching evaluation system.
