As a kind of new popular therapy,bibliotherapy is the one combine reading with treatment,which bringing the readers think and change by reading some text.After the concept introduced into China,the application of the therapy has been expanded,especially in hospital.A growing number of hospitals start to put it into clinical practice.During my internship,the social workers applied the bibliotheraphy to their daily activities aimed at children with leukemia,in addition,there are a group of well-trained volunteers participate in.Whereas,whether the reading therapy have a positive impact on children has not been proved.Thus,in order to study the effectiveness of the bibliotherapy,the paper applied the professional scale and questionnaire to survey children with leukemia,to explore whether the picture books can make a difference in social-emotional change.12 objects who aged from 2 to 3 were selected,6 in experimental group and 6 in control group,before we start the intervention,the experimental group and the control group have a pretest respectively.And then,we use picture books which related to our research to intervene the children in experimental group,we totally intervene 6times,and do nothing to the rest of the children.A week after we finish the intervene,a post-test will be applied to all of the 12 children.Finally,we will analyze the result of the pretest and the post-test,and come to the conclusion.Generally speaking,the children in experimental group have obvious different behavior in externalizing,internalizing,dysregulation and competence factor,especially in compliance and peer relationship.But compares to other factors,in terms of diet and sensitive,it has less affection.Therefore,the bibliotheraphy can influence the patient's behavior on a certain extent.Through this study,we make up the deficiency of research,and applied thereading therapy in clinical,so that provide a new way of thinking about the problem to promote the further detailed research.It's also illustrate the function of this reading therapy in clinical practice,and provide the experience to carry out related activities.In the future,the use of the bibliotherapy can be more flexible,the reader no longer limit to volunteers,parents should also be included.Besides,by using picturebooks,we can establish contact with clients,so the social workers can take it as a communication skill in practice.Hospital can also design their own picture books to help patients familiar with the environment and theirillness.At last,there are still some defects in this study.For example,the intervene period is not long enough so that we fail to achieve desired effect at some point.Moreover,the number of the children is limited,so the conclusion is not universal.Though the data show that the intervene has a positive effect,it can not prove which kind of reading model work.So in the future,we hope others can make up for the inadequacy of this research,and on the basis of these data,come to a more in-deepth research.
