Domestic non-public enterprises,which are part of the management category of private enterprises,play an important roles in the development of national economy system,and are boosters for maintaining steady development of economy and society.At present,over 95% of enterprises in China are small and medium-sized private enterprises,and create more than 60% of Gross Domestic Product(GDP),about 50% of fiscal revenue,and 80% urban employments.In the development of small and medium-sized enterprises,the effects of talents should not be ignored.The quality and quantity of talents owned could directly influence the competitiveness and development potential of enterprises.Therefore,how to prevent brain drain has gained much attention.Compared with brain drain in the current society,there are specific characteristics in brain drain in Jinzhou other than some common features.Jingzhou city,located in the central south of Hubei province,is famous for its abundance and long history.Its overall strength has ranked in top five in Hubei.In Jingzhou,small and medium-sized enterprises account for about 99% of enterprises,solve more than 85% of employment problems,and tax nearly 6 billion yuan annually.They play a key role in promoting economic growth and reducing the pressure of employment.Additionally,they can provide effective support for optimization and adjustment of economic structure and innovation of science and technology.In the present study,we investigated some small and medium-sized enterprises in Jingzhou by face-to-face interview and questionnaires,systematically analyzed the cause,influence and countermeasures of brain drain,and aimed to provide reference information for improving stability of talents in Jinghzou small and medium-sized enterprises.This study includes 6 parts: 1)comprehensive introduction of the research background,research value and research significance of the study;2)comprehensive summary of the relevant definitions in this study,which provide the theoretical foundation;3)analyses on current situations of brain drain in Jingzhou by selecting Jingzhou small and medium-sized enterprises as study subjects;4)the study comprehensively analyzed the factors influencing the brain drain in Jingzhou's small and medium-sized enterprises from economic development,inner management,and personal element;5)analyses on the adverse effects of brain drain on the development of Jingzhou small and medium-sized enterprises;6)summary of the whole research.Finally,in this study,we analyzed the situation of brain drain in Jingzhou's small and medium-sized enterprises and proposed the related countermeasures.We hope that the results of the study will make reference for the small and medium-sized enterprises facing brain drain,provide some advice to attract and retain the talents,and avert the problem of brain drain worsening.This study can provide a reference for solutions of brain drain problems,which is expected to promote the healthy development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Jingzhou.
