Classical Chinese reading is not only an important part of Chinese teaching in high schools,but an important part for college entrance examination,so the cultivation of reading ability in classical Chinese is necessary for high school Chinese teaching in which the accumulation of notional words is the primary indicator.This dissertation mainly bases on the research of notional words teaching in high school.There are the two perspectives to discuss the problems existing in it,including teaching and learning.Faced with these problems,this paper further illustrates the importance and the methods to improve the teaching efficiency of notional words on the basis of the theoretical achievements about notional words teaching.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion,this paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the statistics and analysis of the related data about classical Chinese from textbooks,curriculum standards,and examination paper.The second part has two questionnaires surveys on the teaching and learning' status.The third part is the solution about the problems in teaching.As to the narrow scope in notional words teaching,this paper proposes to solve the problems by expanding the scope and increasing depth of teaching.In regard to students having little interest in the studying,“establishing connections”,“cooperative inquiry” and “interspersed history” are useful methods to it.To solve the monotony of notional words teaching,this paper suggests that teachers not only need use the “speaking and reading method”,but also apply the “original search method” “idiom transfer method” and “contextual conjecture method”.These three parts are the main contents of this paper.The presenting the content of these three parts shows that the purpose of this article is to improve the efficiency of notional words teaching in high school.
