Since the reform and opening up,China has conducted the undergraduate major catalogue,and the undergraduate major in Yunnan Province has also undergone tremendous changes.The current undergraduate major in Yunnan Province is based on the fourth revision catalogue which was promulgated and implemented in China in 2012.With the expansion of Yunnan universities and the change of provincial industrial structure,the employment of college students has been also affected.Sincecolleges and universities have three functions:cultivating specialized talents,developing scientific knowledge and serving the society,in this context,Yunnan universities have the responsibility and obligation to adjust the professional structure and personnel training strategy according to the needs of the society,let university talents serve the social and economic development of Yunnan province to the greatest extent.What current situation is Yunnan province undergraduate course major setting?What are the current problems?How to solve them in the future?This thesis takes the undergraduate major of Yunnan university as the research object,taking subject categories,number of species and number of professional spots as the observation points,through the collection and analysis of a large number of data,describing the setting of undergraduate majors in Yunnan,then analyzing some representative majors in-depth.This paper firstly describes the historical development of higher education,then collect and organize data,this paper adopts the data of Yunnan provincial department of education in 2015,combining the relevant data of the official websites of universities,the official websites of the ministry of education and the website of sunshine enrollment information,to ensure that the data used in this study is the latest.According to this data,this paper analyzes the number,types and distribution points of the majors of the 31 universities.The analysis of the number and types of undergraduate majors is mainly to explore whether there are serious problems in the undergraduate majors in Yunnan Province.The analysis of the distribution of undergraduate majors is mainly to explore whether there is an imbalance in the distribution of disciplines in the major settings of Yunnan Province.Next,it takes Yunnan University as an example to conduct an empirical analysis,and specifically analyzes the changes in the professional settings of Yunnan University since the founding of the People's Republic of China,exploring the reasons for professional revocation and addition,analyzing its rationality,to provide a relevant dynamic basis and strategy for the undergraduate majors in Yunnan Province to achieve a dynamic balance.At last,some suggestions are put forward from the perspective of government and universities to optimize the undergraduate majors in Yunnan province,such as combining Yunnan's eight major industries and the policy opitimization.
