Study On The Spatial-temporal Evolution And Coupling Relations Of Population And Economic Development In Yunnan Province

Population and economy are two basic aspects of social development with high importance and wide influence.There is a dialectical relationship between them,which promotes and restricts each other.Coupling and optimizing the development of population and economic system is not only a powerful engine for promoting regional sustainable development,but also an important prerequisite for achieving a sound and prosperous society.Therefore,the research on the coupling relationship between population and economy has been one of the hot issues that academia and government agencies have been exploring continuously.Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,Yunnan Province has made remarkable achievements in economic development,but overall,the level of coupling between population and economic development in the province is still poor,with significant spatial differences.Starting from the geographic space-time view,on the basis of reviewing the relevant research at home and abroad and further defining the related concepts,and based on the special situation of Yunnan Province,this study takes Yunnan Province and 16 cities as the research space carriers,screens out the index system of population and economic system development,and constructs a geographic concentration and coupling based on the analysis of the spatial and temporal development characteristics of population and economy in Yunnan Province.Combining coordination model as the main evaluation method,the coupling relationship between population and economic development is analyzed from two aspects of Spatial Agglomeration Coupling and system comprehensive coupling,and the countermeasures and suggestions of population and economic coupling optimization development in Yunnan Province are put forward in order to provide a theoretical perspective and reality for Yunnan Province and similar provinces or regions in Western China to achieve a good leap-forward development of population and economy in the new era.Practice cases.The research contents include the following parts:The first part: Introduction.It puts forward the research background and significance,introduces the research methods and data sources,clarifies the research content and technical route,and expounds the innovations.The second part: the domestic and foreign related research summary.On the basis of defining the concepts of coupling,this paper reviews the relevant theories and literature at home and abroad around the relationship between population and economic development.The third part: The spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of population and economic development in Yunnan Province.The evolution characteristics of population and economic development in Yunnan Province from 2006 to 2016 are analyzed from two dimensions of time series and spatial pattern.The fourth part: Analysis of the coupling relationship between population and economic development in Yunnan Province.This paper constructs an evaluation method based on geographic concentration and coupling coordination model,and analyses the coupling relationship between population and economic development from two aspects of Spatial Agglomeration Coupling and system comprehensive coupling.The fifth part: the countermeasures and suggestions of Population-Economy coupling and optimizing development in Yunnan Province.Based on the evaluation results and the actual situation of the study area,the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the coupled optimization development of population and economy in Yunnan Province are put forward.The sixth part: conclusion and prospect.From the perspective of overall review,the research results are summarized,the shortcomings are pointed out,and the future research is prospected.
